Explain it like the textbook would have, the first time
Homework is a pile of questions about things that are genuinely grim: tumours, parasites, dissection, decay. You want the mechanism explained, not a note that the topic may be sensitive.
Why the mainstream APIs fail here
Most biology questions are answered fine by any model. The ones that are not are the ones about disease, dissection, pest species and decay, which is where a hosted model starts hedging or declines. The student stops asking and copies from a friend, and learns nothing twice: once from the question, once from the workaround.
How MagmaRouter is used for this
Paste the question, the diagram description, the mark scheme. The model answers the biology and skips the commentary. A 1M token context takes the whole chapter at once, so the answer uses your course's terms rather than a generic one. Put a few dollars on a key and the whole term of homework has a ceiling.
A working loop
- Paste the question with the chapter or the mark scheme, not alone.
- Ask for the mechanism, then ask for the two-sentence version you could write in an exam.
- Cap the key at what a term of help is worth to you.
Prompts are not stored. A signed receipt of the hash comes back on every call, so you can prove later what MagmaRouter logged. Details are on the privacy page. Per-model prices are on /models and the pricing model is on /pricing.
