MagmaRouter vs Apixo
Apixo has the lowest headline price for an uncensored model we found. The catch is on its own model page: its GLM 5.3 Flash Uncensored endpoint adds a built-in prompt of about 14,000 tokens to every request, billed as input. That prompt is likely part of what makes the model permissive, so it is not the same thing as a model with refusal removed from its weights.
Facts checked October 2026 against Apixo’s own site, docs and policies.
| MagmaRouter | Apixo | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Hosted gateway for one uncensored, tool capable model line (Xploded). | LLM API aggregator reselling Claude, GPT, DeepSeek, GLM and Grok plus a small uncensored line at discounted per-token prices. |
| Pricing | Pay as you go, $5 minimum top-up, no subscription required. | Prepaid per token from $1. GLM 5.3 Flash Uncensored $0.10/$0.10 per million, GLM 5.3 Flash Abliterated $0.40/$0.40, DeepSeek V4 Pro Uncensored $0.50/$0.50. |
| OpenAI-compatible | Yes | Yes, /v1/chat/completions and /v1/responses |
| Anthropic-compatible | Yes, /v1/messages (verified with Claude Code) | Yes, /v1/messages |
| Uncensored / abliterated | Five uncensored models, the Xploded line: GLM 5.3, GLM 5.3 Flash, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, MiMo V2.6 Flash and Qwen3.8 27B. Every one calls tools. | Four models, described only as fine-tuned or abliterated. The Flash Uncensored endpoint adds a ~14,000 token built-in prompt, so it is at least partly prompt based. |
| Prompt retention | No prompt or completion stored; model, tokens and cost kept 90 days; signed prompt-hash receipt | States it does not store prompts or responses; billing metadata kept for the life of the account; upstream providers apply their own terms |
| Per-key spend caps | Lifetime and monthly per-key caps, enforced by reserving the worst case and clamping max_tokens | Not documented |
Where Apixo is the better choice
- Cheaper on paper: $0.10 per million in and out on GLM 5.3 Flash Uncensored, below MagmaRouter.
- A wider catalogue, including mainstream Claude, GPT and Grok models on the same key.
Where MagmaRouter is different
- The ~14,000 token built-in prompt is billed on every call. On a 10K in, 1K out request that makes the real cost about $0.0025 uncached, more than the headline suggests, and it means the uncensored behaviour may come from a prompt rather than the weights.
- Apixo does not say which method each model uses or who serves it upstream. Xploded models have refusal taken out of the weights, by abliteration or retraining, with nothing prepended to your prompt.
- MagmaRouter has hard lifetime and monthly caps per key. Apixo documents none.
